In the Independent you are a paperboy who’s goal it is to ensure the papers reach their target audience, and you have taken that premise a bit literally as you will be throwing the papers towards them.
To throw the papers effectively good hand to eye coordination is required, and you have to take care not to miss the people, and also remember to watch out for birds while throwing the papers.
In order to advance to another level you need to hit at least 70 percent of your target audience, or you will have lost and have to start all over again.
The Independent is a funny and original game, with decent graphics and sound effects. It is challenging enough to keep both young and old players occupied, and due to the short rounds, it is a game for most gamers, as it is suitable for short rounds, but also to play for longer periods of time.
The game is controlled by using the arrow keys to aim and set the appropriate force to throw the paper, while the spacebar is used to launch the paper. Using the “CTRL” key will give you an overview of the playing field, making it a little easier to estimate how hard you should throw, and at what angle.
